Disc Brakes

Disc brakes, on the other hand, use a rotor attached to the wheel hub that spins with it. A caliper equipped with brake pads squeezes against this rotor to generate stopping power.

1. Superior Heat Dissipation: Disc brakes are excellent at dissipating heat, which reduces the risk of brake fade during prolonged or intense braking.

3. Easier Maintenance: The exposed design makes it easier to inspect brake pad wear and replace them when necessary.

Cons:

1. Cost: Disc brakes tend to be more costly than drum brakes both in terms of initial manufacturing and repairs or replacements.

2. Wear and Tear: They may wear out quicker than drum brakes due to smaller surface area contact when using comparable materials.
