Jack Russell, Former Great White Singer, Dead at 63

Jack Russell, the powerful voice behind rock band Great White’s biggest hits, has passed away at the age of 63. The news of his death on March 5, 2024, sent shockwaves through the rock music community, marking the end of an era for fans of 80s hard rock.

Russell co-founded Great White in 1977, and his distinctive vocals became synonymous with the band’s sound. Russell’s influence on rock music extended beyond his own band. His powerful vocals inspired countless singers, and his songwriting contributed to the soundtrack of a generation. Fellow musicians have been quick to pay tribute, with many citing Russell as a key influence and a true rock ‘n’ roll survivor.

The cause of Russell’s death has not been officially announced, but reports suggest he had been battling health issues in recent years. His passing marks the end of a turbulent yet remarkable career that spanned over four decades.
