Channing Tatum Still Wants to Make 23 Jump Street

While the teaser was meant to be humorous, it seems that Tatum is serious about exploring the possibilities of a third film. “I think we left it in a really great place,” Tatum said. “We set up a lot of possibilities for where the characters could go next, and I think it would be really fun to explore some of those ideas.”

One of the main challenges facing a potential third installment is the departure of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the directors of the first two films. The duo has moved on to other projects, including the successful Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. However, Tatum is confident that the right director could bring a fresh perspective to the franchise.

“I think we need someone who’s going to come in and shake things up a bit,” Tatum said. “Someone who’s going to bring a new energy to the franchise and help us take it in a new direction.”
