Make Typing Text Easier to Read on iPhone, iPad, or Mac with Apple’s Hover Typing Tool

Ever struggled to read the text you’re typing on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, especially when the keyboard obscures the screen? Apple’s Hover Typing feature offers a clever solution, allowing you to easily navigate and read your text while typing.

Hover Typing is available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and it works seamlessly across all devices.  Here’s how it works:

On iPhone and iPad: When you’re typing, simply tap and hold the spacebar. The keyboard will then slide up, revealing the text below. To adjust the keyboard’s position, drag it up or down.

On Mac: Hover Typing is integrated into the Trackpad. When you’re typing, simply hover your cursor over the text area. The keyboard will automatically slide out of the way, allowing you to see your words clearly.

Hover Typing offers several advantages:

Enhanced readability:  You can easily see the entire text, making it easier to read and correct errors.

Increased productivity:  You can focus on typing without constantly adjusting the keyboard.

Comfortable typing experience: The keyboard stays out of the way, preventing accidental keystrokes.

To enable Hover Typing on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, simply head to your device’s settings and look for the “Keyboard” section. Ensure that the “Hover Typing” option is turned on.
