In a surprise moment that will be etched in the memories of Glastonbury festival-goers for years to come, Michael J. Fox joined Coldplay on stage during their headlining set on Saturday night. The beloved actor, best known for his iconic roles in “Back to the Future” and “Family Ties,” traded in his acting shoes for a guitar and joined the British rock band for an unforgettable performance.

As Coldplay launched into their hit single “Adventure of a Lifetime,” Fox emerged from the wings, guitar in hand, and took his place alongside Chris Martin and the rest of the band. The crowd erupted into cheers and applause as Fox, looking every bit the rockstar, began to strum along with the band.

The 61-year-old actor, who has been living with Parkinson’s disease since 1991, showed no signs of slowing down as he jammed with Coldplay. His fingers moved deftly over the frets, and his infectious energy was palpable as he danced and sang along with the band.

The impromptu collaboration was a testament to the power of music to bring people together and transcend boundaries. Fox, who has been a longtime fan of Coldplay, was clearly thrilled to be sharing the stage with one of his favorite bands.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of Coldplay, and to have the opportunity to play with them was a dream come true,” Fox said in a statement after the performance. “Chris and the guys were incredibly welcoming and supportive, and it was an honor to share the stage with them.”

Coldplay’s Chris Martin was equally effusive in his praise of Fox, saying, “We’ve always been huge fans of Michael’s work, and to have him join us on stage was a real privilege. He’s an inspiration to us all, and his energy and enthusiasm were infectious.”

The surprise appearance was a highlight of Coldplay’s highly anticipated headlining set, which featured a career-spanning selection of hits, including “Viva La Vida,” “Paradise,” and “A Sky Full of Stars.” The band’s energetic performance, combined with Fox’s special guest appearance, made for an unforgettable night at Glastonbury.

As the night drew to a close, Fox took a triumphant bow alongside Coldplay, basking in the adoration of the crowd. It was a moment that will be remembered for years to come, and a testament to the enduring power of music to bring people together and create unforgettable experiences.

In the words of Chris Martin, “That was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and we’re so grateful to have shared it with Michael J. Fox.”
