She-Hulk Star Dishes on Daredevil Relationship and Polarizing Twerking Scene

Date:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been on a roll lately, with its latest series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, taking the world by storm. The show, which follows the story of Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who gains superhuman powers after receiving a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner, has been praised for its witty humor, relatable characters, and refreshing take on the traditional superhero genre.

One of the most talked-about aspects of the show is the blossoming romance between Jennifer and Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. The two characters have a long history in the comics, and their on-screen chemistry has been undeniable. In a recent interview, Tatiana Maslany, the talented actress who brings Jennifer to life, opened up about the development of their relationship and what fans can expect in the future.

“I think what’s so great about Matt and Jen’s relationship is that it’s not just a romantic partnership, but a deep emotional connection,” Maslany explained. “They both understand what it’s like to be outsiders, to be misunderstood, and to have to navigate the complexities of being a superhero. Their bond is built on mutual respect, trust, and a sense of humor, which makes their relationship all the more compelling.”

When asked about the fan reaction to their romance, Maslany acknowledged that not everyone has been on board with the pairing. “I think some fans were surprised by how quickly Matt and Jen connected, but for me, it felt like a natural progression of their characters. They both have a deep sense of empathy and compassion, and that’s what draws them to each other.”

Of course, no discussion of She-Hulk would be complete without mentioning the infamous twerking scene that has polarized fans. In the episode, Jennifer lets loose and twerks in a nightclub, much to the surprise of her friends and colleagues. While some viewers praised the scene as a fun and empowering moment, others felt it was out of character for Jennifer and didn’t fit with the show’s tone.

Maslany defended the scene, saying, “I think the twerking scene was a great way to showcase Jennifer’s vulnerability and willingness to take risks. She’s a character who is still figuring out who she is and what she wants, and that moment was a chance for her to let go and have fun. It’s not meant to be taken seriously, and I think some fans might have misinterpreted it as trying to be something it’s not.”

When asked if she was surprised by the strong reaction to the scene, Maslany laughed, “I think we all were! But at the end of the day, it’s just a TV show, and people are going to have different opinions. What’s important is that we’re sparking conversations and getting people excited about the characters and the story.”

As the series continues to unfold, fans can expect more of Jennifer’s adventures, both in and out of the courtroom. With the introduction of new characters and plot twists, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and unpredictable shows of the year. And as for Matt and Jennifer’s relationship? Maslany teased, “Let’s just say that their romance is only just beginning, and there are plenty of surprises in store for fans.”

With its unique blend of humor, heart, and superhero action, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is a must-watch for anyone looking for a fresh take on the MCU. And with Tatiana Maslany at the helm, it’s clear that this show is going to be a wild and unforgettable ride.
